Blake CSA 2009-2010 Highlights and Accomplishments
The Blake CSA is proud to report that the following programs and purchases were made possible by our many volunteers and supporters. Thank you all for helping us enrich the education of our youth here at Blake.

Strategic Planning:

  • Researched and selected a new main fundraiser, Meadowbrook Farms catalog, to replace the Sally Foster gift wrap fundraiser starting fall 2010
  • Communicated CSA news to parents via the Blake Newsflash
  • Updated and maintained the CSA website and calendar in an ongoing effort to improve communication between the school and parents
  • Changed our online volunteer form to a google docs form
  • Set aside funds for the 2010/2011 school year
  • Continued to invest funds in an interest-earning money market account

  • Managed SCRIP sales, which this year funded the purchase of a podium customized for Blake as well as trip scholarships
  • Organized fundraisers to help families offset the cost of the 8th grade trip, including Sally Foster gift wrap and Otis Spunkmeyer cookie sales
  • Organized first NSTAR sale of light bulbs in connection with Earth Day, all proceeds from which funded the CSA
  • Managed Royal Pizza night on the first Monday of each month which funded BMS
